More words today!

With the encouragment (and presence) of both sets of grandparents this week, Widget is just popping out new words one after the other.  On Friday he said “couch,” on Saturday he said, “salt,” and today, he had both a sentence and a breakthrough with his numbers.  When we count going up and down the steps, he chimes in on “two,” “six,” “eight,” and after you say, “nine,” he says, all by himself, “ten!”  Yippee!

Oh, and the sentence?  “Mom, more bub-buh up top.”  “Pease.”  Of course that meant, “Mom, I need more bubbles upstairs, please.”  Better and better!

And *I* got the Christmas shopping done online for Widget, his TEN cousins and second cousins (all girls), and a baby gift for my best friend.  Tee hee.  Sure, Canape isn’t due for another six months or so, but it’s so much fun shopping for little kids that I guess I just got carried away.  Surprise!  Canape, you are going to be SUCH a great mom!

What great news on the talking! I should probably post an update on Nate’s speech, myself; he too is showing progress.

Oh, good! It’s so wonderful when the words really start to come out!
