Aren’t ribbons, boxes, and pieces of yarn the best toys ever? Widget sure seems to think so. Ever since I started wrapping Christmas presents on Tuesday, he has been simply enchanted with the tools of the trade. He spent nearly an hour one morning threading a piece of red yarn through a cut-out hole in his tunnel, a piece of PVC, a Boomwhacker, and just about anything else he could find. He likes to hide in the big cardboard boxes that came from fatbraintoys.com and babycenter.com, as well as from Grandma and Grandpa. And ribbon? Whee, boy. We found a beautiful satin ribbon from my (his) baby shower and he has been dancing around the house with it ever since. Carefully supervised, these are the best toys ever. How will Christmas gifts compete?
