Welcome to my world, Toddler Planet. I'm WhyMommy, just your average everyday cancer survivor/astrophysicist/mom, learning my way through each day with two beautiful, happy little boys (Widget, born 8-04 and Little Bear, born 1-07). You can also find me at Women in Planetary Science Blog, Mothers With Cancer, Review Planet, Twitter, or the playground.
My friends and I have been speaking out about inflammatory breast cancer since my diagnosis on June 16, 2007. Our advocacy work has been featured in Health, Parents magazine, on CNN.com, in several newspapers, and as a multipart video on Fox News Channel 5. Join the party -- post about IBC on your blog and I'll link back! Email.

Thinking of you this weekend while I walk in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. I wrote “WhyMommy” down on my list of SURVIVORS! My friends mom also had Inflammatory Breast Cancer and I’ve been good about letting EVERYONE I know understand that BC doesn’t always have to be a lump. You are suck an inspiration, as a survivor, a mommy, a wife, a scientist, a friend and a woman!
