Good news! The cancer has not spread beyond the breast/lymph node complex. It is attacking at least one lymph node, but that one is considered associated with the breast and so the cancer has not metastitized to other parts of my body.
In other news, my heart is healthy and we have been given the GREEN LIGHT to start chemo next week. The results were delayed because of the holiday, not because they needed to do further investigation. Thank God. At 8:30 next Thursday morning, WhyDaddy and I will be walking into the chemotherapy infusion unit. This is wonderful news. As I’ve told some friends recently, I am grateful for chemotherapy. Grateful that it exists and that we live in an age where it’s possible (if not yet an age where there is an easy and painless cure for cancer). And today, I am grateful, incredibly grateful that I am considered healthy enough to begin chemo. It will help me fight. You will help me fight. God will help me fight. And we will beat this beast.
Thank God for sure. That is the best news I have heard in ages. I am so incredibly grateful that it has not spread, and that you can start your chemo on Thursday.
Let’s get to the beast beating. And more brownies.

I am SO happy to hear that you got good results, WM. I’ve asked multiple people to pray for you, including my mother and her two sisters, who we call the Good Fairies.
