Not quite perfect.

Yesterday was a blur of doctors, tests, referrals, and results, but here are the test results:

1. No metastasis. Hurrah!

2. 6 cm ovarian cyst, type unknown.

Additional results from yesterday’s follow-up scans won’t be read until Tuesday, and then I can get the results when I visit my doctor again the next Monday.

But I can’t think about that now — I have a barbecue to host for our MOMS Club friends. We’re going to grill, do a craft, eat snow cones, and then have a happy Fourth of July parade through the neighborhood. And I’m going to try to think of nothing else, for I am blessed to have these friends, who have stood by us through a year of troubles, a year of cancer. And I’m blessed to have you, who even come by here to say hi on a holiday. Thanks.

Happy Fourth of July, everyone!

Susan, I am one of many who had a benign ovarian cyst — only found out about it when it ruptured! Please assume B9 unless told otherwise, and enjoy your weekend!

Great news! No metastasis! I’m doing the Chandler Bing dance!

As a sufferer of polycystic ovarian syndrome I know way more about ovarian cysts than I’ve ever wanted to – really not a big worry health wise unless they rupture or are not actually cysts (or you are trying to get pregnant!). Don’t let this news be a negative – it is very common to have a cyst or two!

Love the new pic – your hair looks great! Are you going to keep it short? It looks nice and trendy and cool for the summer months! (and I’ve very jealous as mine has been in a pony tail to keep it off my neck!)

  18. Ally says:
